Acquisition Specialist, Senior

The Opportunity:

You'll support a Navy acquisition client in managing its system portfolio by applying knowledge of the DoD adaptive acquisition framework to support a technology refresh of a Navy IT Business Systems. You'll assist the client with developing and evaluating acquisition strategies, performing analyses, developing and reviewing documentation, and providing defense systems acquisition expertise. You'll support the Navy client in systems acquisition program and acquisition management planning. You'll prepare milestone or decision briefs to convey program plans to stakeholders, and advise on program status, schedule, and risk. In addition, you'll analyze the state of the program against a customized Playbook in support of leadership objectives.

You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience with DoD systems acquisition management

  • Experience with DoDI 5000.02, DoDI 5000.75, DoDI 5000.87, or any of their predecessors

  • Experience working with senior government staff at the Program Executive Officer (PEO) or Project Manager (PM) level

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to advise on using appropriate DoD acquisition pathways

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with ACAT I or BCAT I programs

  • Experience with rapid acquisition

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • PMP and DAWIA PM Level III Certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,300.00 to $149,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
