Job Description
The Student Facilities Assistant (SFA) is a part-time student staff member in the Office of University Housing and reports directly to the University Housing Operations Coordinator.
Primary Responsibilities
The SFA position is responsible for assisting the Operations Coordinator with management of facility operations, assisting with key needs, furniture inventory and relocation, and basic maintenance needs such as general lightbulbs. The SFA position will also assist the maintenance and housekeeping teams with basic projects and assist professional maintenance staff members with various building trade projects as needed. The SFA position will also be integral to assisting in the opening and closing processes each semester. In addition, the SFA position will be responsible for completing other tasks and responsibilities as delegated by their direct supervisor or designee from the Office of University Housing.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience working and/or living in residential housing at NKU is preferred.
  • Must be currently enrolled NKU student registered for classes.
  • A 2.3 cumulative and semester GPA for undergraduate candidates. Must be able to perform physical tasks.
  • Must be available to attend weekly staff meetings and work some nights and weekends. In addition, students must be in good standing with the university financially and behaviorally.
  • Previous residential maintenance or minor repair experience a plus.
