Assembly Technician II
Position Overview

At Aurora Flight Sciences, we design, build, and fly advanced aircraft and enabling technologies. We are searching for a talented and self-motivated Assembly Technician II to help us advance the future of flight. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Responsibilities

- Use of hand and power tools such as routers, drills, die grinders to complete the required operations. called out within the work instructions and all blueprint requirements.
- Use close tolerance measuring tools such as scales, micrometers, calipers, and bore mics.
- Use and maintain customer supplied tooling in proper working order.
- Follow engineering planning and accurately fill out and complete work orders.
- Keep a clean work area and demonstrate good work habits.
- Participate in projects developing process improvement methods, solutions, and procedures to enhance program quality, cost and scheduling.
- Perform other duties as assigned and may be required to cross train to additional work centers and skill sets.
- Handle, mix and apply various epoxy resin materials and systems.
- Supports company Foreign Object Damage (FOD) Prevention Program.
- Train junior employees in assigned area.
- Performs other tasks as required by site leadership.

Minimum Requirements

- High School graduate or equivalent and/or technical school.
- One (1) or more years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly of metallic and/or non-metallic parts, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to use computers and equipment that utilizes computer software technology for assembly aids and allocating proper time for work orders.
- Demonstrated ability to apply math, locating information and reading comprehension skills to the work environment.
- Must be a U. S. Person.

Preferred Requirements

- Advanced 2-year vocational, technical and/or military technical schooling certifications in manufacturing or related fields.
- A&P License.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and wear proper PPE. Flexible to work extended hours.
- Lift and transport objects up to 35 pounds; consistently stand, stoop, crawl, bend, crouch, climb, and kneel.

Salary Range (Annualized USD)
  • Minimum Range: $36,000.00 to $64,000.00
  • Maximum Range: $42,000.00 to $74,000.00
