The Challenge:
What if you could use your engineering skills to protect commercial and military systems to the effects of Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP). As an electrical engineer, you understand the power behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to conducting EMP assessments. We're looking for an electrical engineer who can use their skills to analyze, test, and evaluate EMP effects on electronic systems and recommend general or specific mitigation techniques to assure survivability to a given standard. Our team supports the Navy and other customers in prototyping and testing directed energy systems, assuring electromagnetic compatibility of Navy systems, and assuring the survivability of Navy systems to electromagnetic threats, including EMP. That's why we need you, an electrical engineer, who specializes in EMP testing, analysis, and assessments to help us design and develop mitigations to military and commercial systems that protect them against the effects of EMP while not causing unacceptable degradation in capability.
You'll be analyzing complex electronic and electrical systems, recommending, and conducting testing where needed, assessing the survivability of the systems to an EMP or other electromagnetic threat, and recommending solutions to achieve survivability at different risk levels. You'll directly impact the survivability of Navy and commercial systems to EMP and other electromagnetic threats, assuring that they survive the threats to continue their missions. We'll look to you to share your electrical engineering expertise through leadership and mentoring junior staff. This is a chance to use your experience-based knowledge in electromagnetics, electronics, modeling, testing, and analysis while broadening your skillset into areas like directed energy, electromagnetic compatibility, and electronic warfare. Join us and take on exciting challenges in the Navy and commercial sectors, as we improve the survivability of our military to help defend themselves and us from enemies and improve the survivability of critical commercial infrastructure to EMP and other electromagnetic attack. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.
Empower change with us.
