 Job Summary

The Finance Manager is responsible to provide support to the Controller, Site Head, and corporate team. The Finance manager will also support the Finance function through its participation in the preparation of financial & costing analysis, budgets, performance measurements and ad doc analysis. 

Principle Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the establishment, maintenance, and analysis of manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead spending.
  • Review standard  product costings, bills of materials, and work orders for accuracy.
  • Prepare and  submit monthly MIS and provide financial analytics to the management including budget vs. actual analysis and standard cost vs. actual cost analysis. 
  • Analyze product profitability and report on financial results to management.
  • Inventory verification and control and circulating weekly inventory aging reports.
  • Oversee and reconcile inventory cycle counts and annual physical inventory.
  • Account Payable Management activities including verification of invoices (3-way match) and creation for wires in the banking portal for processing.
  • Circulating weekly Account Receivables Aging Report. 
  • Partner with Controller and provide financial analysis and support for sound business decisions, including cost and operating variance analysis.
  • Develop and  maintain timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP, financial accounting system for cash management, accounts payable,   accounts receivable, inventory.
  • Handling month end, quarter end and year end financials closing. Support quarterly and  annual audits and tax filings.
  • Budget and forecast preparation, prepare the monthly and annual budget, and review  monthly financial results, and analyses the variances against budget and provide reasons, manage cash flow, and prepare cash flow forecasts and  prepare all supporting information for the annual audit and liaise with  the external auditors.
  • Support to other departments as required, including plant management, quality, purchasing, planning and supply chain services.
  • Ensure that proper controls and procedures are in place for the tracking and valuation of business assets and inventory.
  • Work with operations to identify cost savings opportunities.
  • Coordinate  development of accounting processes throughout plant to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure that all internal and external reporting deadlines are met.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITES: 

· Perform other job-related duties as assigned at the discretion of management.

Knowledge & Skills 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent  communication skills with all levels– written and oral required.
  • Strong problem  solving, analytical and business partnering skills are required.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to lead across functions at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong  background, knowledge and proven skills in management accounting, cost and  inventory accounting, GAAP, MS Excel, SAP system.
  • Strong analytical skills are required to quickly grasp issues impacting the plants’ financial results.
  • Strong IT  aptitude to deliver effective reporting, analysis, and presentations.
  • Ability to  manage projects, work independently, and communicate effectively to all areas and levels of the organization.

Experience & Education

  • A minimum of a  bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or similar discipline is required; an advanced degree (MBA) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of Finance/Accounting experience is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry is required.
