Summary

The ServiceNow System Administrator maintains the stability and usability of the ServiceNow platform by performing application maintenance, managing support for incidents related to ServiceNow applications, and contributing to ServiceNow software releases by delivering configuration tasks and features. The ServiceNow System Administrator has sound technical ability that enables the fulfillment of common configuration and maintenance tasks. The ServiceNow System Administrator is a technical resource that possesses administration capability and is able to design, build, and customize ServiceNow applications and services. The ServiceNow System Administrator works across applications, delivers new functionality and innovative solutions, and supports the entire development lifecycle. The ServiceNow System Administrator has a software development background that will be enhanced by ServiceNow System Administration and Scripting in ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with ServiceNow platform incident resolution
  • Takes ownership of complex business requirements and works them to completion
  • Provides subject matter expertise in ServiceNow system applications
  • Creates, maintains and enhances Incident Management, Problem Management, Service Request Management, Service Catalog, Knowledge Management, and Self-Service Portals
  • Creates, maintains and enhances team Dashboards and reporting, including scheduled reports
  • Maintains Forms, Reports, Views, Workflows, Groups and Roles
  • Creates and configures Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts and ACLs including advanced scripting of each
  • Performs day to day support, administration and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform including scripting, configuration, integrations and administration
  • Works with the team to build request items and tasks using workflows to manage processes and meet Business Requirements
  • Develops, configures, and improves core and custom applications
  • Performs installation and testing of ServiceNow updates and new releases
  • Develops systems integrations and process automation

Required Qualifications

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
  • 2+ years of experience performing day-to-day support, administration, and maintenance on the ServiceNow platform across all modules and applications
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow product suites including Orchestration, ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, and CSM
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript
  • Must have strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
  • Working knowledge of AngularJ, CSS, and Bootstrap
  • Working knowledge of custom application development on the ServiceNow platform
  • Knowledge of Business Rules, UI Pages, UI Macros, Jelly, Script Includes, Processors, Workflow, Service Catalog, and other components of the ServiceNow platform
  • Good understanding of Single Sign-on techniques and how they apply to the ServiceNow platform
