AVIAN's strategic vision is to be the premier provider of engineering, test & evaluation, systems acquisition, integration, information warfare and in-service sustainment to the DoD, DHS and select civilian agencies. To support this vision, we are looking for a Business Development/Capture Manager to focus on our existing markets.

Lead and develop new business and growth opportunities in existing markets
• Assist with developing technical solutions and capabilities for business capture and proposal generation
• Interact with potential customers and business partners in person and virtually and develop a rapport with key decision makers
• Identify and research opportunities that come up in existing markets
• Communicate with clients to understand their needs and offer solutions to their problems
• Assist with developing and presenting proposals customized for each customers' specific needs
• Attend events, conference, etc. CONUS and OCONUS that support existing markets
• Liaise with AVIAN and subcontractor technical SMEs
• Participate in proposal phases, activities, and milestones including the kickoff meeting, teammate meetings, data calls, brainstorming sessions, informal proposal reviews
• Assist in execution of Color Teams, recovery plans and final editing of final version
• Assist in proposal strategy development; define, and help articulate win themes, strengths, and discriminators
• Support AVIAN proposal manager and proposal team throughout proposal process

• Impeccable verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with project management methodologies
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with the Shipley process
• Familiarity with SharePoint
• Familiarity with Salesforce
• Demonstrated ability to work with a team
• Demonstrated ability to perform critical thinking
• 7+ years of Navy/USMC military or DoD govt. services experience, preferably supporting Naval Aviation in the Patuxent River, MD area
• Required: Bachelor's degree
