Scope:
Sets-up and operates multiple pieces of automated equipment. Responsible for troubleshooting equipment, performing preventative maintenance and training others. Provides guidance to others with detailed instructions and recommending solutions to problems. Ability to work independently to run complies, high reliability/tight tolerance product lines.
Duties:
- Provide training and mentoring to team, including documented OTJ (on the job) training.
- Leads continuous improvement activities and ensure compliance to 5 Standards program.
- Requires the ability to be proficient in 75% of the department operations.
- Work with manufacturing engineering on processes and changes.
- Perform maintenance tasks to maintain equipment in good condition.
- Daily communication with all team members and supervisor through the use of shift meetings, email, log book, and other written and verbal methods.
- Responsible for maintaining inventory for the department supplies and tools.
- Report any problems, defective materials, questionable conditions or unsafe conditions to supervisor or leader
- Provide high quality and timely service to all internal customers.
- Listen to customer requirements and take prompt, appropriate action that exceeds expectation.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must have strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel).
- Must have the ability to handle multi-task assignments, and delegate tasks appropriately.
- Ability to perform product inspections.
- Ability to operate complex equipment and be capable of set-up, troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in several areas of equipment/product knowledge.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Ability to train other operators and provide some direction.
- Familiar with continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, Standardized Work, Kanban, JIT, Kaizen, and Poke-Yoke.
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Education/ Experience:
Required Education: Highschool degree
Experience: 3-5 years of relevant manufacturing experience and IPC 600 Certification preferred
