Job Description
Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree. Agile experience preferred.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

We are ready to hire an Software Engineer for the Total Ship Monitoring System (TSMS) delivered to the United States Navy (USN) Submarine fleet. Our close-knit team is passionate about delivering the best product to the Navy to help protect our country. Our team works closely with the Submarine community to develop solutions that allow the Navy to carry out high-stakes national security missions.

** We're looking for candidates with strong skills in C++, Linux, Large System Integration, DOD Secret Clearance **

Your Role:

  • Develop, test, and integrate software primarily in C++ (some Java) in a Linux environment for the Navy
  • Assist with System Integration and Test
  • Participate in peer reviews of software components and systems
  • Work onsite with the development team at Lockheed Martin Integration facility in Manassas Virginia coordinating with the ARCI/SWFTS community
  • Write and repair C++ code within a Linux environment
  • Document software solutions using strong oral and written communication skills

Required Skills:

  • Strong Signal Processing
  • Strong C/C++ software development within a Linux environment
  • Strong Linux (RedHat or CENTOS) experience
  • Experience using Jira/BitBucket/Jenkins tools
  • Experience with Static Code Analysis mitigation
  • Experience with Large System Integration (preferably Navy DOD environment)
  • Experience developing code using an Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Preferred Experience:

  • ARCI or SWFTS submarine software development
  • Agile certifications or equivalent experience as Scrum Master or Product Owner
  • Digital Signal Processing development
  • Requirements management
  • Strong understanding of common data structures and algorithms
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash or Python
