Description

Manhattan Strategy Group (MSG), a rapidly growing management and social sciences consulting firm based in Bethesda MD, is seeking a remote Research Associate to support research & evaluation, technical assistance and training, and program management projects focusing on the employment of young adults with disabilities, as well as employment, education, and training initiatives supporting additional underserved populations. Our federal clients include the U.S. Departments of Agriculture, Education, Health and Human Services, Housing and Urban Development, Labor, and the Treasury, and the National Science Foundation.  

Candidates will join a dynamic team working together to deliver best-in-class solutions to our current Federal clients. This position will support corporate communications as well as client deliverables and business development.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Research topics in education and the workforce to inform project work and products such as literature reviews, reports, blogs, and communications. 
  • Perform primary and secondary research. 
  • Collect data through surveys and interviews with key project stakeholders. 
  • Synthesize data collection findings. 
  • Contribute to written reports, including descriptions of the evaluation process and methodology. 
  • Support projects through coordinating logistics, note-taking, material development, copyediting, scheduling, etc. 
  • Manage logistics associated with virtual project meetings and events, including the scheduling of multiple stakeholders. 
  • Prepare and format deliverables. 
  • Run standardized reports for project management. 
  • Support project teams in the design and delivery of webinars, and virtual meetings. 
  • Support the development of capability statements, proposals, and presentations for potential new projects. 
Qualifications: 
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience. 
  • Master’s degree in education, Sociology, Political Science, Economics, Public Policy, or a related field
  • Must have a background in workforce development.
  • Strong writing, analytical, and research skills
  • Fluent with Microsoft Office software (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
  • Statistical software proficiency
  • Experience with data analytics or data visualization a plus
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • At least one year of similar/relevant work experience
  • Experience interning or working for a federal contractor or government agency is a plus.
