Position Scope:
The Program Manager leads the design team via PM Process Map and is responsible for day to day project tasking. Responsible for meeting Program customer requirements, cost goals, and schedule, as well as developing/generating follow-on business, the Program Manager provides direction, leadership and development for assigned teams. This individual is Customer Point of Contact and will manage multiple projects and/or a high complex program for Tier 1 customers. Must be a US Citizen with the ability to hold a current U.S. Government security clearance to SECRET level.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Business Management & Program Execution:
  • Utilizes & follows standard project scheduling and planning tools per 209-000.00, TTM ISO-9002, & AS9100 requirements
  • Develops high-level plans to meet both project and product cost targets and reports progress to appropriate management levels
  • Responsible for supporting assigned goals and objectives. These include, but are not limited to market, product, technology, customer penetration, revenue growth and profit
  • Responsible for meeting assigned customer and program booking, shipment, and financial performance goals; regularly reports to management on progress and performance
  • Responsible for the implementation of assigned new product development and product / program production readiness
  • Participates in or leads project meetings and design reviews, and tracks progress of day to day commitments
  • Monitors project progress vs. staffing plan and reports any resource constraints
  • Make recommendations on changes or work-arounds
  • Monitors progress and effectiveness on a regular basis and ensures corrective actions are taken as required. Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction and product quality
  • Responsible for ensuring all known or potential risks are identified and mitigation and retirement activities are incorporated into the project plan. Incorporates the documented project management process into all projects
  • Responsible for the accuracy/validity of cost models, and sets costs targets, management reserves are established and implemented
  • Responsible for assigned program commitments and financial objectives are obtained
  • Responsible for ensuring future costs and pricing meets internal margin demands
  • Responsible for production cost and pricing targets, GM and overall financial objectives
  • Typical Project/program Scope is ~ $10M or less
Team Leadership:
  • Provides mentorship in the development of Project Management personnel by providing coaching, guidance, and training as assigned or required

  • Strong understanding of the product's operation and key performance parameters, as well as the processes and materials used to manufacture responsible products. Basic understanding of the customer's application and key performance parameters
  • Pursues learning opportunities to expand related knowledge and understanding; Willing to try new things and take risks to expand understanding
  • Demonstrate ability to facilitate technical reviews of the products and understand the trade-off's
Communication:
  • Able to effectively convey pertinent information verbally and in writing to project team and others in a constructive manner
  • Has strong listening skills, the ability to run effective meetings, and efficiently convey pertinent information to the project team and others
  • Uses his/her own and others' expertise to make effective and timely decisions; Gathers key information and knows when to escalate problems
  • Resolves or escalates issues in a timely manner; often involves manager and project team

Customer & New Scope/New Business Management:
  • Responsible for providing customer reporting and status, as assigned
  • Able to handle complex customer negotiations on specs and delivery with positive results
  • Responsible for setting assigned customer management strategy. Interfaces with assigned customer personnel, internal business development team
  • Responsible for PMO portion of Bids and Proposals for development programs and new business per proposal process map (includes setting costs targets of products and projects, supporting TINA and/or CAPA data analysis as required); This includes generating program artifacts to facilitate efficient baselining in anticipation of contract award
  • Able to handle routine customer negotiations on specs and delivery with positive results
  • Supports the development of new business by supporting proposals via Compliance Matrices, Schedule development, review of customer requirements and capturing costs for applicable reviews
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
  • Ability to foster teamwork and cross-functional collaboration
  • Able to juggle multiple complex tasks and independently make quality decisions without negative impact on others
  • Demonstrates ability to manage complex programs that includes integration of technologies, product multi-variants, qualification execution, and multiple customers and/or across multiple TTM facilities
  • Resolves or escalates issues in a timely manner; often involves manager and project team
  • Complies with and supports company policies and programs regarding safety, security, ISO, EEO, OSHA and the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
  • Effective written, oral and presentation skills
Education and Experience:
Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Business
Experience: 10+ years of relevant Project Management experience; PMI Certification preferred
Must be a US Citizen with the ability to hold a current U.S. Government security clearance to SECRET level

Export Statement:
