AVIAN is on the look out for a Sr. System Administrator to join our team in support of ACIST.

-Perform Windows and Linux system/network administrative tasks including: software backups, installing software security patches, installing software tools, troubleshooting hardware and software, integrating new systems to the test bench, and monitoring computer & network intrusions.
-Coordinating with the Lab Engineering teams and related program support groups for evaluating and updating lab hardware and software.
-Executing and coordinating with government and industry representatives on new and existing Lab related initiatives.
-Evaluating and making recommendations related to implementation of Lab hardware and software interfaces.
-Providing cybersecurity protection for all of the equipment in the Labs
- Supporting the creation of Accreditation packages for all Core Avionics labs in order to maintain the Authorization to Operate (ATO) privilege.
Required experience:
Education: High School diploma or GED; Completed the following certifications within one and a half year after assuming duties: Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) (Previously known as Certified Software Engineering Professional (CSEP)), or with COR approval complete a vendor/platform specific certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), Microsoft Certified Applications Developer (MCAD), Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), Sun Certified Professional (SCP), Red Hat Certification Program (RHCP), CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), other)
Our entire AVIAN workforce is required to comply with the Executive Order 14042 requiring employees to be fully vaccinated from COVID-19. An employee will be considered fully vaccinated when at least two (2) weeks have elapsed after the second dose in a two-dose COVID-19 series or at lease (2) weeks have elapsed after a single-dose COVID-19 vaccine.
