AccentCare is seeking a Hospice Medical Director to join our new team of professionals in the DC area. We make a difference every day to patients and families coping with end of life illness in creating a center of excellence in hospice care.
The Hospice Medical Director will be responsible for the overall medical direction of patient and family services. The Hospice Medical Director will Work with the Executive Director, Director of Clinical Services and Team Directors to plan and evaluate clinical services. Serve on the Executive Team. Support Provider Relations activities, and provide input to the CPI Committee. Assume a leadership role on the Ethics Committee.
A physician (Medical Doctor, M.D. or Doctor of Osteopathy, D.O.) licensed to practice medicine in the state(s).
Training or experience in caring for chronically and terminally ill patients.
Strong administrative and communication skills.
Board Certified in Hospice and Palliative Care or commitment to work toward Board Certification.
