Job Description
Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within 24 months of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Working directly with management to address all aspects of supply chain management, including procurement support, commodity business plans, market trends assessment, pricing, and product availability, the Subcontracts Administrator will prepare and issue moderate to high complexity Subcontract agreements, and ensure all procurement actions which commit the company are properly documented, reviewed and approved consistent with policy and procedure. We'll rely on you to identify and negotiate risks in terms and conditions when assessing price, delivery, quality, and performance requirements. Must be able to work and succeed in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment while demonstrating strong presentation, communication, team building and leadership skills.

This position aligns to our Maritime & Strategic Systems (M&SS) line of business supporting a broad portfolio of exciting contracts in Surface, Undersea, Airborne, and Strategic domains. The successful candidate will join a high-performing team of Subcontract professionals located at various GDMS locations across the country.

What you bring to the table:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Fully proficient knowledge of procurement practices and principles, including quality processes, counterfeit parts, and other compliance requirements such as federal, state, Federal Acquisition Requirements/DFAR, and local laws
  • Strong knowledge in assigned commodities and advanced decision-making skills
  • Solid analytical and negotiation skills
  • Strong knowledge and experience with ERP/MRP systems
  • Possess strong business acumen enabling the candidate to partner Supply Chain with the Line of Business
  • Demonstrate ability to establish and grow strong relationships
  • Solid leadership and team building skills
  • International subcontracting experience is valued
  • Breadth of experience with ability to apply to the business as-needed
  • Track-record of recognized performance excellence (employer or customer) preferred
  • Strong communication skills (includes formal correspondence)
  • Ability to travel in support of the business needs
  • Support capture activities, to include performing requests for proposals, cost/price analyses, and cost volume preparation
  • Translates cost/price analysis into negotiation plans and strategies
  • Perform Subcontract proposal activities for all types of Federal Government and commercial agreements to ensure conformance to contract scope and financial requirements
  • Perform Subcontract source selection, competitions, creation of alternate sources, and other innovative solutions to meet Program needs and requirements
  • Performs market research and develops potential suppliers using Sources Sought announcements, Requests for Information (RFI), Make/Buy analysis, and other methods
  • Integrates consideration of Small Business concerns into solutions
  • Leads Design-To-Cost (DTC) and Design-To-Unit-Production-Cost (DTUPC) design efforts
  • Integrates with the capture team in the assessment and strategy phases to return early-engagement Supply Chain solutions that improve win probability

Note: The compensation information listed is a good faith estimate for this position only and is provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. It is estimated based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid. It assumes that the successful candidate will be in Colorado or perform the position from Colorado. Similar positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation.

If performed in Colorado, this position has a salary range of USD $59,866.00/Yr. - USD $101,934.00/Yr.
