The Opportunity

The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for providing superior internal customer service to the Ortho Clinical Diagnostics Commercial organization, in a professional and timely fashion. Key activities include managing sales order inquiries and issues received via phone and email, leading new customer onboarding activities, supporting customer relationship management activities and providing other administrative support to the commercial organization. The Sales Support Specialist ensures all interactions are handled in a professional, helpful and timely fashion to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and attention to compliance requirements.In addition to the daily responsibilities, the Sales Support Specialist will provide a more strategic level of support that will include the following: identifying and leading customer value-added enhancements, preparing executive business reviews, managing net promoter score feedback and handling new customer sales leads. This position can be based in Rochester, NY with a hybrid schedule, offering both office and remote flexibility or remote with the US.

The Responsibilities
  • Supporting the customer relationship through creation of Executive Business Reviews, management of customer feedback through Net Promoter Score surveys and scheduling for business trade shows.

  • Supporting phone and email inquiries and escalations from field sales through monitored telephony queues. Responsible for addressing the request and closing the loop with both internal and external customers.

  • Leadership of new Group 3 customer onboarding including: development of annual ordering schedule, initial order management and optimization and dedicated support post instrument go-live.

  • Management of potential customer sales leads and other administrative support throughout sales process.

The Individual
  • Minimum of high school degree/GED equivalent or 4 years equivalent experience required. Associate or Bachelor degree is preferred.

  • 3 years' experience in customer-facing role through customer service or sales position

  • Ability to Multi-task and manage multiple conflicting priorities.

  • Ability to maintain composure through stressful situations.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills required.

  • Ability to Travel up to 5%
