We have an opening for a Visiting Research Assistant Professor in RNA research and functional genomics. This position is available immediately.
The researcher will study RNA expression regulation, especially focusing on microRNA and cancer development. MicroRNAs are small non-coding RNAs that are extensively involved in many biological processes. We are particularly interested in combining bioinformatics, high-throughput biology such as RNA-seq, CRISPR screening and single cell sequencing, as well as standard molecular biology techniques to characterize the functions of microRNA and other RNA species. Our lab is also interested in using RNA expression profiles as molecular biomarkers for disease diagnosis and prognosis. More information about the lab can be found at: .
This position requires Ph.D. in molecular biology, cell biology, genetics or related fields. The candidates should have extensive experience in molecular and cell biology as demonstrated by solid publication record. Experience in genomics is also a plus.
Interested candidates should send CV to Dr. Xiaowei Wang, Dept. of Pharmacology and Regenerative Medicine, University of Illinois at Chicago, at email address: .
