Atlas Copco is seeking a qualified candidate who will be responsible for coordinating the activities of at our Tool Management Centers at various customer locations. We are looking for an independent self-starter with the ability to communicate and train with all levels of an organization both verbally and in writing

As a TMC Mobile Technician, you will be responsible for all aspects in supporting the TMC including setup, diagnosis & configuration of tooling, maintaining the PM & calibration schedule of the tooling population, the logistics of shipping tools in / out of the customer's facility, and interfacing directly with the onsite employees and the customer. Our ideal candidate will work well as part of a team in order to accomplish the task at hand, deliver training to team members and support the overall TMC atmosphere.

What we expect of you

  • A High School diploma or GED is required

  • Preferred 2 years' experience in a production environment working with manufacturing automation, assembly tooling or data collection systems

  • Ability to demonstrate and train co-workers on Atlas Copco equipment

  • Experience servicing fastening tools, knowledge of torque theory and fastening are preferred

  • Understanding of tool or instrument calibration processes

  • IT experience with networking or databases preferred

  • Equipment troubleshooting experience is preferred

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds

  • Valid U.S. driver's license

  • Must have or be eligible for a Chauffeurs License (Michigan)

  • Must be able to walk 2-3 miles per day

  • Assist customers in light field service or installations when necessary

  • Desire to learn new things regarding our processes and procedures daily

  • Ability to travel up to 60% locally & 40% nationally - this will be regionally dependent

  • Participation in flexible working hours including overtime, weekends and holidays are a requirement
