Position Summary

Infor has a compelling story to tell the world, but often the relevance and advantages get obscured in the marketing process so that our target audiences and influencers are not clear on our market position, differentiation, value, or aspirations. Infor has many messages, and we need to focus our communications on the key messages and communication channels. Through compelling, relevant, authentic, and original content we need to have better conversations with our prospects and customers and the market. We need to set new standards for content creation and its integration into marketing campaigns that support the Infor brand and our differentiated value.

The Content Marketing Director is focused on leading the development of quality, compelling and engaging content to further enhance the demand for our products and services based on experience gained working in creative industries and conceiving and managing content for integrated campaigns in a global tech b2b software market. You will lead a small team of Content Marketing Managers and report to the Head of Content Marketing. You will need to be forward-thinking to anticipate future trends and success of our brand and have knowledge of what content types are most effective in driving conversations and engagement along the different stages of the buyer journey. Critical to this role will be partnering and collaborating with a cross functional team including product & industry strategy marketing, field marketing, product managers, competitive & market intelligence, brand and campaigns strategy, marketing creative, and field sales to gather feedback, develop, and deliver clear messaging for Infor products and services with the goal of driving adoption, utilization, and prospects satisfaction.

This role will line manage one group of the Content Team and a Content Producer responsible for the Discrete Manufacturing industry group.

A Day in The Life Typically Includes:

  • Create integrated campaigns and all supporting content to achieve business goals and support brand strategy
  • Partner with the product/industry strategy marketing team and marketing creative team in the development and creation of product-related content: blogs, podcasts, case studies, white papers, collateral, etc.
  • Partner with digital & field marketing to execute the content
  • Analyze the performance of content with the digital team to understand how to optimize and improve our approach to content
  • Develop and maintain ongoing knowledge and mastery of the Infor buyer/customer profiles
  • Work with product marketing and brand & campaigns strategy teams to build top to bottom of funnel messaging
  • Managing a team of diverse, individual content marketers. Coaching, developing and motivating them to improve the quality of their stakeholder relationships and content deliverables.

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree / Marketing Qualification
  • 10 years+ experience in marketing
  • Excellent storytelling, verbal, and written communications skills
  • Proven expertise in marketing and planning and creation of content across various media (executive briefs, byline articles, blogs, social, email, video, etc.)
  • Ability to lead a team to achieve agreed objectives, yet, have the ability to take initiative and work effectively on his or her own
  • A strategic thinker with a proven ability to identify opportunities, create compelling content strategies, and gain support from cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Possess strong organization and planning skills - control workload and deadlines while juggling priorities for efficiency and productivity
  • A self-starter with a curiosity for the product space - learns quickly and is flexible to adapt to changes
  • Experience planning and driving strategically grounded and brilliant campaign content

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in enterprise software - ERP & cloud/SaaS solutions (e.g. People solutions and Supply Chain solutions)
  • Background knowledge of one or more of our Discrete Manufacturing industries (Industrial Manufacturing, Hi-Tech, Aerospace & Defense, Automotive)
