DESCRIPTION:

Decypher is seeking a Occupational Health Manager for the United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM) at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform or assist with business flow and data analysis for the USAFSAM Occupational and Environmental (OE) Health Department and for Occupational Environment Health (OEH) programs across the entire enterprise
  • Design or improve health hazard recognition, analysis, or control training products.
  • Perform or assist with developing, analyzing, and implementing OEH audits, review strategies, and performance/data quality metrics
  • Assist with developing and sustaining a Business Plan which defines business areas, product lines, customers, milestones and objectives and metrics
  • Perform or assist with a comprehensive OEH Program Management Review strategy and model
  • Develop or assist with creating risk communication strategies and templates
  • Design or improve OEH guidance for the Air Force.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or Environmental Health or similar degree
  • 10 years' experience in implementing, managing, developing, and assessing Air Force or Department of Defense Occupational and Environmental Health (OEH) policies and programs targeting workplace and environmental health hazard recognition, analysis, and control.
  • Exceptionally high capacity for working autonomously and performing assigned tasks with minimal supervision and shall have demonstrated competency and effectiveness working, communicating, and collaborating with inter-professional teams
  • Demonstrated proficiency applying Microsoft Excel or other similar tools to analyze, manipulate, compare, and interpret large data sets.
  • self-motivated individual who possesses an enthusiasm for developing innovative solutions in a rapid development environment, with thorough attention to detail ensuring that tasks are accomplished in a complete, precise, and accurate manner
  • US Citizen

HIGHLY DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience as a member of the OEH staff at a Major Command (or equivalent) within the Department of the Air Force, the Air Force Medical Readiness Agency, or Defense Health Agency.
  • Demonstrated performance using and optimizing database systems, with specific expertise working with the Defense Occupational and Environmental Health Readiness System (DOEHRS)-Industrial Hygiene and developing and using associated analytical tools.
  • Demonstrated performance developing and supporting strategic initiatives such as business plan development, setting organizational goals and objectives, and reviewing/measuring program performance.
