Job Description
Global Administration Executive Assistant
Who You'll Work With
You will join our Washington, DC office as a key contributor to our administrative support services team.
You will provide a high level of diversified administrative support to your assigned client service professionals and you will develop strong professional relationships with clients and other external parties. You will share your McKinsey journey with a diverse group of colleagues and mentors who will be helping you in your development. You will also become a part of a dynamic and professional group of executive assistants who work closely together. You will report to the executive assistant supervisor and regional manager of administration.
What You'll Do
You will provide executive-level administrative support to 2-4 client service professionals as assigned based on coverage needs.
In this role, you will build rapport with assigned client service professionals, their clients, client assistants, internal colleagues and other executive assistants. You will serve as a liaison and representative for the client service professionals in dealing with clients, internal and external customers, and others while maintaining the confidentiality of highly sensitive information.
You will provide broad administrative support to help organize and leverage the client service professionals' time effectively. Your core responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, heavy calendar management, arranging often complex international and local travel, organizing and maintaining all client and internal files with firm authorized system, meeting, event and conference planning as well as coordinating logistics and technology for video conferences of all sizes. You will also be responsible for the preparation and submission of timesheets and expenses.
You will manage and maintain all written communications including responding to and composing correspondence that does not require the personal attention of the client service professional or other consultants, as well as that which requires their signature. You will create, proofread and maintain communication and documents such as letters of proposals, presentations and social media. You will work collaboratively with colleagues in meeting peak work demands, complete projects and other tasks, and join in team meetings and different training sessions.
For our USG entity, this role requires access to US government systems that require US citizenship.
Qualifications
  • University degree
  • 3+ years of experience in a corporate environment working with senior-level executives
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Excellent judgment and impeccable discretion, maintaining the highest level of confidentiality
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities; ability to identify conflicts and proactively suggests resolutions
  • Excellent organizational skills; resourceful and detail-oriented with track record of solving complex problems independently
  • Proactive; self-starter with an approachable "can do" customer service mindset
  • Calm, professional, self-confident demeanor with a high work ethic
  • Excellent interpersonal and team skills
  • Excellent communication skills; strong command of the English language
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • U.S. citizenship to be eligible for government security clearance
