The Opportunity

As Ortho continues to grow, we are seeking future leaders in the Project Management Office. The Project Management Specialist II is responsible for setting project goals and ensure that the project is developed following Ortho' s quality management process and program schedule. Additional Project Management Specialist responsibilities include schedules meetings, actions item follow ups, documentation of key project decisions, and maintainability of project and business documentation. This position can be located in Rochester, NY or Raritan, NJ.

The Responsibilities

  • Creates project/program schedules.
  • Maintains monthly project budgets and submits appropriate financial paperwork.
  • Schedules Program and Functional meetings.
  • Records important decisions made in meetings.
  • Prepares progress reports.
  • Creates progress presentations for senior management.
  • Proactively follows-up with team members to ensure project deliverables and interim milestones are met.
  • Works collaboratively with Project Leader to affectively drive business commitments.
  • Performs other work duties as assigned.

The Individual

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, project management, or equivalent field.
  • Preferred Medical Device experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create and manage budgets.
  • Excellent planning and time management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Application.
  • Ability to drive strong results.

Key Working Relationships:

  • Internal: Project Leaders, Project Mangers, Subject Matter Experts, Functional Leaders, and Strategic Business Unit Leadership.
  • External: Technical, Operational and Project Management Contract partners.

Key Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Trains employees, Plans work of others, and Review's work quality and quantity of others.
