Job Description
  • Provide daily support to the Program Manager on active non-nuclear surface ship classes, with these representative duties:
  • Collect, compile, track, manage and respond to data calls from the Program Manager
  • Assist Program Manager with the monitoring and tracking of budgets. Develop program metrics (cost, schedule, quality), when required.
  • Perform analysis in support of products presented to senior leadership for decisions or information purposes in support of briefings, working groups, or other decision forums. Act as an assistant to the Program Manager to support Navy modernization and sustainment programs.
  • Perform quality assurance (QA)/quality control (QC) of program products and proactively develop ways of qualitatively and quantitatively measuring program value and return on investment.
  • Support technical and programmatic teams with assessments, reporting, financial management, planning, and training.
  • Work collaboratively with government civilians, Navy uniform personnel, and industry teaming partners. Work independently, in small teams, and across a broad community of interest to produce program reports, briefs, plans, and budget analyses.
  • Assist technical leads and managers with interacting with Government activities, contract stakeholders, and technical community members to review and document technical progress at program reviews.
  • Support the development of annual POM briefs and issue papers in support of the program.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
  • SECRET clearance is required.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum 8-years experience Active-Duty U.S. Navy (0-3 or above). Surface Warfare Officer (SWO) experience desired. Ability to apply comprehension of Navy surface ship operations, Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) systems, combat systems, and weapon systems.
  • Knowledge of NAVSEA program offices, acquisition, budgetary processes, and systems engineering.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and synthesize significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience with USN sustainment, modernization, and readiness initiatives.
  • Ability to work with other teams across multiple technologies and platforms to create, edit, and submit a common product under deadline
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, TEAMS, SharePoint) experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher. Business, management, science, engineering, or other technical degree is preferred.
