Job Description
  • Provide support in shipboard design, software and systems integration for all shipboard C5ISR and weapons systems and the following certification programs: TEMPEST, Information Assurance, combat and weapons systems safety.
  • Provide support to troubleshoot system failures or integration issues and planning/management of certifications and provide resolutions to rectify those troubles/failures/issues.
  • Provide support for the compilation, documentation and effort required to achieve certification for numerous open and closed systems.
  • Maintain a Plan of Action and Milestone (POA&M) to document efforts and steps planned and completed for each system.
  • Responsible for coordinating and monitoring and advising the various engineering support with regard to topology development, general arrangement changes, hardware specifications development, configuration management, assessment/certification/accreditation and C4ISR integration.
  • Responsible for coordinating and monitoring this effort and advising the various engineering support contractors participating in this system development, such as NAVWAR (including System Support Centers) and the USCG Program's C5ISR Acquisition Domain, COMDT (CG-933), COMDT (CG-6) and COMDT (CG-2) with regard to topology development, general arrangement changes, hardware specifications development, configuration management, assessment/certification/accreditation and C5ISR integration.
Job Requirements
  • Have at least ten (10) years demonstrated experience with shipboard C5ISR systems to include design and integration of navigation and combat weapon systems.
  • Direct experience shall include extensive knowledge of Navy NAVWAR GFE systems and their technical interface with installed shipboard systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering or related field
