Scope:
- The Senior Financial Cost Analyst assists the Financial Business Partner by collecting and analyzing financial information related to expenses, seeking ways to improve accuracy of budgets and forecasts, and to decrease the cost of assigned departments and projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze performance metrics incorporating those above and others to understand plant performance and make recommendations to Finance Business Partner and General Manager.
- Work with operational department managers to understand cost performance, analyze period variances from standards or forecast.
- Support Finance Business Partner in preparation of Budget/Forecast/Period End Variance evaluation cycle.
- Support conversion of ERP systems to Oracle
- Inventory evaluation:
- Prepare inventory reconciliation
- Calculate Prod Cost % quarterly
- Calculate reserves for Excess & Obsolete inventory
- Analyze WIP aging and work with operations to address old work orders
- Standard Cost Evaluation:
- Analyze over/under absorption
- Review job close variances
- Review PPV variances
- Update Standard cost rates
- Perform profitability evaluation (by PN and/or by Customer)
- Maintain/Update system set ups:
- If a new department is added, determine if it is costed or not with Oracle SME
- If a new department is costed, determine cost drivers and rates with Oracle SME
- Set up new resources, Overhead and rates in Oracle
- If WIP costing is done outside of Oracle, ensure that Oracle and other systems are in sync (e.g. have same rates and calculate same product cost )
- Prepare Virtual P&L by Market and report variances
- Total ownership of plant level Virtual Profit and Loss reporting
- Manage revenue data by part number and end market for each plant
- Analyze drivers to end market profit performance at a given plant
- Assess customer product pricing contribution to end market financial performance with in a plant
- Month end close tasks:
- Open/close inventories
- Prepare inventory related journal entries
- Coordinate/execute Quarter sample audits of Raw, WIP & FG inventory

Essential Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Standard costing experience
- Advanced skills in Excel

- Knowledge of SQL and/or Access a plus
Education and Experience:
Education:
- BS degree in Accounting or Finance with 1-3 Years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Required Experience:
- At least 3 years of related experience required
- Excellent ability to analyze data using mathematical and problem solving abilities
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Aptitude to succeed in a stressful and deadline-oriented environment
- Proficient with spreadsheets and cost accounting fundamentals
Preferred Experience:
- Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment a plus

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC. b) Reinforce to all employees the commitment of TTM management to abide by all US Export laws and regulations. c) Understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL). d) Support Export Compliance Officers and others in their efforts to ensure compliance with the Corporate Export policies through implementation and enforcement of these procedures, provide training to all facilities and departments and support periodic audits as required. e) Provide feedback to Corporate Export Compliance Office for continuous improvement of procedures and overall Export Compliance program.
