Eligible for $2,000 bonus after 180 days of employment plus shift differential pay
Scope:
- As part of the maintenance team working on second shift from 4:00pm to 12:30 am, Monday to Friday, this entry level role provides upkeep and repair tasks on manufacturing equipment in a high production industrial environment to include light equipment repair, HVAC and general maintenance duties. The technician will be accountable for completing emergency repairs or contacting and working with 3rd party vendors to ensure production lines remain operational in coordination with other skilled maintenance technicians. The employee will also independently complete daily work orders, preventative maintenance, and maintain paper and computer-based records.
- Extensive training will be provided to safely and correctly work on each piece of equipment and perform routine repairs for HVAC.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Observes mechanical machinery, equipment, and devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
- Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems and visually inspects, listens to, and troubleshoots machinery, equipment, and mechanical devices.
- Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses the malfunction with the Maintenance Manager, technicians, and production staff to diagnose the malfunction.
- Lubricates and cleans parts and/or installs new or repaired parts when required.
- Diagnoses and replaces faulty HVAC equipment
- Assists in the diagnoses of components of machines and equipment.
- Completes maintenance request or PM documentation for all work performed. Communicates status of incomplete work to the Maintenance Manager or the next shift technician via email or verbally.
- Actively participates in ongoing job training to become mechanically proficient across all production departments.
- Follows and adheres to all environmental, safety, and health policies and procedures without exception.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:
- Technical aptitude and ability to correctly and safely use basic hand power tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot, perform basic repairs on control circuits, electrical components, and mechanical equipment.
- Strong attention-to-detail and capable of reading and following technical instructions, operation manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- General computer skills and ability to complete electronic work orders, enter data into systems, and send emails.
- Able to stand throughout a shift, lift 40-pounds, work within confined spaces, and perform work in a crouched or overhead posture.
- Able to read, write, and communicate in English to the degree necessary to perform the job.
- Willingness to work overtime, including weekends is required.
- Must be able to supply their own set of basic hand tools needed to perform the job.
Education and Experience:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Required Experience:
- 1-2 years of previous work experience using trade skills such as electrical, mechanical, electronics and plumbing
- 1-2 years of HVAC experience
Preferred Experience:
- CFC Certification is a plus
