The following position is for Alkermes, Inc.

Summary

The Sr. Supply Chain Analyst, Vendor Management is responsible for the overall performance of selected critical Wilmington /Alkermes vendors for quality/non-Conformance, cost, and vendor delivery performance (on-time, quantity accuracy, quality defects, and documentation). This individual will be the primary Wilmington contact to manage the vendor relationship. They will act as a matrix leader of cross-functional teams to collaborate with counterparts at suppliers to manage routine operations and achieve robustness of supply in line with contractual agreements and performance expectations.

Essential Functions

  • Act as business relationship manager for assigned key direct materials suppliers and lead supplier performance management programs. Develop applicable KPI scorecards and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to track and improve vendor performance.
  • Organize and lead internal Alkermes teams by product and/or technology category (Screens, Filters, Excipients, etc.) to facilitate achievement of functional and business goals by aligning on priorities, issue resolution, and sourcing and execution plans.
  • Support auditing of vendors with External QA and Manufacturing teams and recommend sourcing changes or other recommendations to the Wilmington Strategic Sourcing - cGMP Category Manager and Wilmington Supply Chain Director.
  • Monitor day-to-day and week-to-week delivery and quality performance, attending daily OpEx meetings as required and facilitating communication, visibility, and escalation of vendor performance issues to cross-functional teams.
  • Support and/or lead Wilmington Projects as requested. Projects may include, but are not limited to kaizen/improvement projects, cost saving and sourcing improvement initiatives, and new material introductions.
  • Evaluate and approve vendor invoices and lead the monitoring of vendor contracts for compliance with contractual terms and KPI expectations. Drive adherence against contract terms to secure value for Alkermes.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • 5-10+ years of experience Supply chain and/or sourcing / vendor management leadership and management roles.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • CPSM certification and/or active participation in a related professional organization is a plus.

Competencies

  • A successful candidate must demonstrate key business results in a sourcing and/or vendor management leadership role in a dynamic organization
  • Procurement skills (Sr. Buyer, Procurement Mgr.) and/or sourcing skills
  • Proven leadership skills including team facilitation, training, and motivation
  • Sound decision making with very strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with strong influencing skills
  • Aptitude to work independently to set and meet key deliverables and objectives
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience with SAP recommended
  • Pharmaceutical experience recommended but not required
  • Operational Excellence experience a plus
  • Perform all duties in a manner which exceeds all ethical standards for the profession

Travel

  • Travel required at 25-30%
  • Travel to various vendors is expected on a regular basis (at least quarterly)
