Overview

Allied Associates International, Inc. is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to provide information assurance and security support to a federal customer. The individual will be responsible for all information security related tasks and activities for information systems and networks of varying complexity and classification. The successful candidate will apply information assurance and security concepts, practices, and procedures to ensure the secure operation and maintenance of all information systems and networks.

Responsibilities

The ability to work as a member of an integrated team is necessary for this role. Additionally, the successful candidate will be able to take direction and execute tasks and delegated functions independently and report back to management and technical leads. Experience with evaluating system, network, or infrastructure security controls against requirements such as FISMA, FIPS, and NIST guidelines is essential to this role.

Areas of responsibility include assessing customer information systems against applicable security controls, maintaining all necessary system certification & accreditation (C&A) documentation, and providing inputs and solutions to the customer to enhance current information system practices and procedures. The selected candidate will be responsible for the coordination and tracking of configuration management activities and documentation, and the development and review of supporting system documentation including incident response plans (IRPs), IS contingency plans (ISCPs), business impact analyses (BIA) and risk assessments.

Qualifications

Requirements

    Bachelor's degree in information security, computer science, cybersecurity, or another relevant discipline
  • 3-5 years of information security and assurance experience
  • Experience with security applications including Tenable Nessus, Splunk, LogRhythm, and RiskVision (formerly Agiliance)
  • Top Secret clearance and ability to successfully undergo a polygraph

Preferred

  • CompTIA Security+, CISSP, ISACA CISA or CISM, or other relevant information security certification
  • Master's degree in information security, computer science, cybersecurity, or another relevant discipline
  • Experience in the management of physical access operations and controls for sensitive and SCIF facilities

Must have an active Top Secret clearance. US Citizenship required.
