Methode Electronics is seeking a Sales Manager to develop and win business opportunities with customers and prospects to maximize Methode sales and profitability. You will continually seek ways to establish and protect Methode's reputation and customer relationship.
This role may be based in the Pacific Northwest or Southfield MI.

Responsibilities:
Direct account responsibility for major Commercial Vehicle OEMs
Establish plans and strategies for targeted Methode products and divisions to expand the customer base to meet annual sales revenue and profit targets
Oversee all customer business development and sales activities related to assigned accounts
Develop strategic business development including specific product sales strategies
Ensure that company has an in-depth understanding of the users of company products and their ongoing needs
Provide feedback from existing and potential customers to enhance product performance and delivery
Support product development
Work closely with Program Management/Project Champions to capture, quote, and margin up all customer engineering changes
Own requests for quotes (RFQ) response to meet customer requirements
Respond to sales requirements from existing and potential customers
Maintain contact with existing and potential customers to grow revenue to promote sales
Identify opportunities for new products and enhancement and development of existing products
Monitor and report on the activities of competitors and potential collaborators and identify business opportunities and threats
Understand the market in which the company operates and how the company's products and services are used and sold within that market
Responsible for all aspects of customer satisfaction.
Responsible for negotiating long-term commercial agreements.
Support commercial for any current production programs.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience in business development and sales experience required
Minimum of 5 years Commercial Vehicle Industry sales experience required with lighting, sensors, power and/or electronic user experience preferred
Extensive experience in all aspects of Supplier Relationship Management
Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
Global sales experience preferred
Proven ability to overcome obstacles and get results
Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time (less if based on the West Coast), both domestic and international, and work with a global team of professionals
