The Clinical Director reports directly to the Executive Director and works in collaboration with the Chief Clinical Officer. The Clinical Director supervises therapists, counselors, and ancillary clinical team including outside consultants. The Clinical Director provides oversight for the Residential Clinical Program at Newport Academy. Duties include clinical supervision and support, peer reviews as part of the utilization review process, assignment of caseloads and groups, and implementation of clinical programming and protocols as developed in collaboration with the on-site Executive Director, Chief Clinical Officer, and/or Director of Program Development. The Clinical Director provides crisis intervention and is on call 24/7 for support to the On-Call Clinician and Executive Director/Residential Coordinators. The Clinical Director may carry a caseload to fill a vacancy or as needed to assist with challenging residents or families and support the Saturday Family Program as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Licensed LCSW, LMFT, LPC or Clinical Psychologist with five years or more of relevant clinical experience with adolescents and families, with mental health, substance abuse and co-occurring disordered populations. Must have one-year supervisory experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
* Must be licensed as a clinician in the State.
* Must have received criminal clearance from the State, current TB test, health screen, first aid and CPR certification.
