Job Description
Focused on delivering unsurpassed services in support of the law enforecement and homeland security communities, FSA, a rapidly growing joint venture owned by trusted solutions providers SAIC and AECOM, has a vacancy for a Senior Records Examiner/Analyst supporting the United States Attorney's Office (USAO).
A Senior Records Examiner/Analyst performs, but is not limited to the following duties:
  • Performs litigation support tasks associated with the day-to-day operation of the USAO litigation support within the ACE Unit of the Civil Division. These duties include a variety of information technology support to meet USAO information needs utilizing network hardware and software capabilities, including specialty litigation software. Specifically, assignments encompass the following:
    • Litigation Support Services - Coordinates litigation support services (including trial preparation and presentation) in response to customer needs. Performs such services directly or in conjunction with the district's designated "Litigation Support Coordinator."
      • Installs configure, and maintains litigation support equipment;
      • Develops standards and procedures for applications; and
      • Coordinates efforts with other agencies involved in litigation team activities.
      • Performs quality control (QC) of incoming data to ensure it meets District's Electronically Stored Information (ESI) requirements.
      • Loads data into local IPRO Eclipse database.
      • Maintains IPRO Eclipse databases.
      • Coordinates data transfer with the Litigation Technology Service Center (LTSC) for Relativity databases.
    • Litigation Support Systems Administration: Performs testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, maintenance of litigation support resources used for the transmission of information in data, voice, and/or video format. Ensures systems availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency.
      • Installs new or modified litigation support hardware and software.
      • Resolves hardware/software interface and interoperability problems.
      • Maintains and controls the district's litigation support equipment inventory.
    • Systems Security: Ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools.
      • Implements policies and procedures to ensure litigation support systems reliability and accessibility and to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data;
      • Promotes awareness of security issues among management and employees.
      • Implements programs to ensure users are aware of, understand, and adhere to systems security policies and procedures.
    • Customer Support: Provides customer support services including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance, and training in response to user requirements.
  • Diagnoses and resolves problems in response to customer reported incidents; installs configures, troubleshoots, and maintains customer hardware and software; and provides for customer training including orientation for new users.
  • Assists ACE staff with running searches and database exports as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
A Senior Records Examiner/Analyst must meet the following qualifications:
  • Litigation Support principles, methods, and practices;
  • Litigation Support systems development concepts;
  • Performance monitoring principles and methods;
  • Quality assurance principles;
  • Technical documentation methods and procedures;
  • Systems security methods and procedures;
  • Analytical methods; and
  • Oral and written communication techniques.
  • Litigation support databases working with load files such as IPRO Eclipse and Relativity
  • Discovery processing hardware and software such as Law PreDiscovery and Nuix systems
  • Quality control of incoming data to comply with District Electronically Stored Information (ESI) Specifications
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Access
This position requires U.S. Citizenship and a 7 (or 10) year minimum background investigation.
