Job Description

Company Overview

The Flag is a brand dedicated to the belief that America is good. Although a work in progress, we believe its values and ideals are worth protecting and promoting. Our mission is to connect Americans through conversation, commerce, and community to promote cohesion and prevent division.

Our daily newsletter is designed to combat an increasingly polarized media landscape that has exacerbated isolation and mistrust along with group-think, tribalism, echo chambers, and confirmation bias. Cable news and social media algorithms tend to feed Americans one-sided coverage. This leads to a lack of dialogue between people with opposing viewpoints. We push back by providing a balanced briefing, highlighting what both sides are saying. We believe exposure to other ideas is a precursor to empathy and understanding and ultimately more civil, respectful, and fruitful conversations. When someone can view an issue from both their own perspective and another person's, it's easier to solve problems through mutually beneficial solutions.
