The Role

This is a remote position, with some travel required to local office in Auburn Hills, MI.


In this position, you will be responsible for designing, writing and proofing marketing content for Motor Vehicle Industry and General Industry to ensure sustainable profitable growth. You will be part of the Marketing team and report directly to the Creative Marketing and Communications Manager.

  • Write marketing copy, including for brochures, press releases, white papers, case studies, presentations, infographics, newsletters, blog posts, and social media posts
  • Leverage experience with keywords to optimize content for web searches. Have an interest in growing your experience and knowledge in this area
  • Ensure accuracy of information (copy and content) in published materials, seeking support from technical personnel as needed
  • Work collaboratively with the digital and product marketing groups to meet business objectives
  • Back up and support creation of graphics, printed and digital content on an as-needed basis
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, techniques, and tools
  • Use creative and out-of-the-box thinking to offer alternative design ideas and innovative approaches
  • Understand when to apply branding guidelines and when to make modifications to content for the best representation

What We Expect of You?

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphics, Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism and/or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 2-3 years of writing, editing, and content creation experience with a robust portfolio of work
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with team members across the organization
  • Solid attention to detail and acute copy editing skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, deadline driven, adjust to shifting priorities, complete deliverables on-time, marketing strategy and brand guideline
  • Ability to work independently or with a team, manage ambiguity and ask for guidance when needed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-performance environment, while having a great time doing it
  • Some travel required within the United States and internationally (10-15%)

You need to be pro-active, accountable and results-oriented. Furthermore, your ability to write and be creative is critical. As an ideal candidate, you need to be very flexible, work well within a creative team and manage workload. You are confident in using tools to manage processes and to create accurate attention grabbing marketing content.
