• The CPA will assist in performing routine quality assurance (QA) tasks for radiation therapy treatment under the supervision of a Medical Physicist, including both patient-specific QA and treatment machine QA.
• The CPA will write Python based application code to streamline the treatment planning and QA tasks.
• The CPA will assist in the collection of quality assurance data with various radiation detectors (ionization chambers, diodes, survey meters, etc.) and in other tasks under the supervision of a Medical Physicist.
• The CPA must be able to keep accurate records of data analysis and documentation and be able to present data to the Medical Physicists.
• The CPA will undertake other duties to support Division of Medical Physics as needed, including assisting in implementing new technologies and procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required

• Bachelor's Degree in physics, engineering, computer science or related scientific fields
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with an interdisciplinary team consisting of physics residents, medical physicists and radiation oncologists
• Basic knowledge in Python or Matlab
• Detail oriented and strong time management skills
• Ability to be flexible when needed and to work well under pressure. After hours and weekend work required.

Preferred

• Master's Degree in physics, engineering, computer science or related scientific fields
