Sr. Project/Program Mgmt. Specialist(103204)

The Role:

Working on our PMO team, you will drive the delivery of industry-leading Advantage solutions and Product Launches across AMD products and their target markets. You will help with process improvement while increasing communication and collaboration with stakeholders on engineering and business teams.

You have an innate ability to understand high-level strategies while also being able to zoom in and drive detailed tactical matters. You are a difference-maker who is driven to win. You can demonstrate a strong knowledge and execution of program management, an outstanding track record of delivering product launches, and experience with complex projects that span HW, SW and working with OEMs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing all aspects of the launch of Advantage Solutions and other product launches, from idea through to launch and the eventual end-of-life of solutions

  • Planning and driving the execution of solutions & products to enable outstanding customer solutions

  • Driving alignment between AMD product solutions and customer platforms to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction throughout the product life cycle

  • Providing strong program management of cross-functional teams, influencing & ensuring results are completed, and forging positive relationships with cross-functional teams

  • Delivering results in an effective and timely manner, while continuously improving process and product

  • Communicating effectively, in writing and in person, to deliver clear and concise information to AMD managers and executives

Required Skills:

  • A history of driving and program managing product launches

  • Solid track record of working within timelines and bold schedules

  • Demonstrated ability to grasp new technical concepts quickly and having credibility with technical teams

  • Confidence to evaluate risks and tradeoffs, and present solution options to executive teams

  • Teamwork and ability to influence horizontally across multiple internal functional organizations

  • Flexibility in the face of business and technical changes throughout the product life cycle

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

Preferred Experience:

  • Proven program management experience in dynamic and competitive industry, particularly within software development or engineering-based organizations

  • Familiarity with the semiconductor industry, especially the various functions of graphics firmware, driver software and platform hardware
