Job Description

Summary:

Responsible for creating and implementing attendee marketing strategy for the NADA and ATD Shows, ATD Truck Industry Forum and Washington Conference. This includes management of web, print, digital, social media, email, and video marketing for all platforms.

Essential Functions:

Prepare overall attendee convention marketing plan for both NADA and ATD Conventions. Work with various departments to assist with marketing plans for legislative conference and other strategic meetings.

Develop, design, and write content for attendee promotional brochures and onsite program directories.

Develop, design, and write promotional event blog content.

Create and write attendee e-mail blasts, dealer e-newsletter, NADA Headline stories, manage email lists and coordinate with sponsorship team to implement ads on these platforms.

Develop and implement strategy for advertising campaign in various publications including ATAE and other distribution channels.

Maintain relationships with ATAE contacts and other advertising personnel. Strategize and develop with graphic designer on brand management for the convention, legislative conference and other meetings under supervisor's direction.

Develop and implement social media content strategy for NADA and ATD events to include daily monitoring, posting, and content development.

Ensure a diverse social media presence for event promotion.

Work with Public Affairs, Expo, NADA University and other departments to strategize and communicate their needs through event social media channels.

Manage content, design and development of the convention website for both NADA and ATD Shows, legislative conference, auto and truck forums and other events. Work with Web Team on the overall functionality of the website and website layout.

Coordinate with the Expo Department on the development of content for website, web, print, and digital promotion of the Expo to attendees.

Work with Public Affairs to design content and scripting for the Show videos for the website.

Managing the NADA Show Orientation session, including coordinating speakers and content and presentations.

Develop and implement the NADA and ATD Mobile App and scheduling tool, manage sponsorship integration, manage on-site engagement and report on performance.

Develop the social media presence onsite at the Show. Work with vendor hired on content creation for the booth area.

Project management of the post-Show surveys.

Non-Essential Functions:

Prepare status reports on social media efforts and success rates.

Provide bi-weekly reports on website analytics.

Other job-related duties as assigned.


Education and Work Experience:

Bachelor's degree required. Seven plus years' experience with websites, marketing and social networking required. Qualified candidates will have: Knowledge of Convention industry and experience with event marketing. Web and print based writing skills recognizing consumer expectations for impact, content, and length. Well-versed in setting up and using online communications and social media tools including Facebook, LinkedIn and/or forums and blogs. Ability to produce quality work while meeting all deadlines; ability to prioritize and communicate deadline tradeoffs when necessary. Some knowledge of HTML programming. Superior understanding and application of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax. Excellent market analysis and trending skills. Qualified candidates will have strong organizational and communication skills. Must be able to handle multiple tasks, work under pressure and within deadlines. Experience with CMS tools (Ektron), Email Automation Tools (RealMagnet, Act-on), Wordpress, Google Analytics, Access, Microsoft Word, Excel and other computer applications required. Experience with social media channels such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter required. Experience with graphic design a plus.
