Five Star Premier Residences of Chevy Chase is a beautiful community in Chevy Chase, MD, with more than 330 units offering independent living and assisted living.

Key Responsibilities

At this time, we are seeking a Human Resources Manager to join our team!

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that HR Policy Manuals are complete and available to all Staff.
  • Maintains written job descriptions and performance evaluations for each staff position in accordance with the American Disabilities Act, OSHA, and other pertinent laws governing job positions.
  • Establishes a system where managers are notified in a timely manner to provide performance evaluations and merit increases in accordance with policy. Files all documents in the employee's personnel file.
  • Reviews applications and verify references of prospective employees and arrange for interview with managers or supervisors as required or requested.
  • Maintains job applications for personnel eligible to work in the facility. (Includes job applications, resumes, reference checks, etc., of those persons meeting the eligibility requirements for the position in which they applied).
  • Maintains confidentiality of all pertinent personnel information in accordance with the Privacy Act, as well as our established personnel policies governing the release of information.
  • Ensures that appropriate documentation concerning the employee's right to work in the country is verified in accordance with current laws, regulations, and guidelines concerning such matters. Files documentation in the designated location within the specified time frame.

Qualifications

  • College Degree in Human Resources (HR) or a related field desired.
  • Minimum of (3) years of experience in HR or payroll with knowledge of employment laws, regulations and guidelines concerning HR in a health care environment.
  • PHR certification desired.
  • COVID-19 vaccination required.
