The Diagnostic Medical Physicist III reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
The Diagnostic Medical Physicist III collaborates and assists the Diagnostic Medical Physicist V in administrative aspects related to management of the medical physics section, ensuring that the staff and infrastructure of the physics section supports the clinical needs of the departments.
Responsibilities:
As a member of the Medical Physics team, the Diagnostic Medical Physicist III is expected to maintain expertise in regulatory and accreditation requirements (e.g. state, federal, TJC, ACR) that pertain to Diagnostic Imaging
There will be opportunity for a Diagnostic Medical Physicist III to specialize within a particular advanced modality (CT, MRI, FGI, Nuclear Medicine), however, each medical physicist will be expected to maintain competency in multiple imagining modalities.
Diagnostic Medical Physicist III will provide in-service technologist and attending physician training as needed.
Mentorship and supervision of level I and II medical physicists in advanced or all imaging modality survey
