More About the Role:

The NGEN-R SMIT NMCI Global Logistics team has openings for Logistics Coordinators to oversee and conduct the management of IT assets across the Continental US, Alaska, and Hawaii. This position will be the frontline for their respective site on matters related to Facilities and Logistics Management. The Coordinator will execute the SMIT Logistics Support plan for the NMCI network.

Logistics Coordinators integrate the spectrum of the logistics processes within the operational, acquisition and wholesale environments. Logistics Coordinator are responsible for directing the integrated logistics process, developing support policies, procedures and systems, and providing implementation guidance. The Logistics Coordinator prepares and implements directives to ensure effective logistics support, and establishes and enforces standards to ensure that the assigned work force is properly trained and equipped. It is the Logistics Coordinator's duty to develop, initiate, integrate and manage all logistics actions associated with life cycle management of weapon systems, subsystems and equipment.

This position will be focused on Material Management: management and control of IT and Non-IT assets within Tier 1 and 2 environments. The candidate will support tracking and control of service assets in the IT infrastructure and collaborate with Asset Management and Configuration Management analysts.

The Logistics Coordinator will support the creation of the processes, activities, and procedures to the extent necessary to address the collection and movement of assets within the SMIT Logistics Subsystem. The Coordinator will be responsible for the movement of assets in and out of the Tier 1 Data Center, IPN, and ISN facilities.

The Coordinator will coordinate purchasing activities with Material Coordinators within their respective areas, including the tracking of shipment and delivery of ordered items.

The Logistics Coordinator will also function as the site facilities coordinator and provide support to the Site Manager for coordinating any work order requirements. Responsibilities will include maintaining and managing a seating chart(s).

What You'll Get to Do:
*Coordination of material movements between data centers, ISN, IPNs, and Warehousing and staging areas.
*Ensuring data is maintained within the Asset Management Database (Hardware and Software) for assets moved from their respective locations.
*Coordinating schedules for and assisting in conducting Monthly Inventories.
-Supporting scheduled and ad hoc Asset Management System Audits and reconciliation of errors.
*Coordinating with functional teams for Integration of Asset Management disciplines within workflows.
*Shipping and receiving of assets.
*Coordination with procurement for repair and maintenance of equipment and renewal of Software Licenses.
*Ensuring Government-owned assets are controlled and accounted for in the Inventory or Asset Management database(s).


You'll Bring These Qualifications:

-Requires a B.A. Degree and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
*Prior experience with NMCI Tier 1 and 2 Facilities.
*Prior experience with processing purchase requests.
