Senior Finance Manager, Operations - Sparks, MD

This position, based in Sparks, MD, will support multiple manufacturing facilities in the U.S, Taiwan, and China representing approximately $450M in total cost. Working in a matrixed environment, the successful candidate will report to the VP, Finance, NAHT, with a dotted line to the VP, Operations, NAHT. They will lead a team to analyze monthly results, build forecast and budgets, model future inflation/commodities, monitor productivity projects and complete analysis needed to drive better business decisions.

What You Will Do

  • Analyze monthly results and work with the appropriate leaders to develop and submit accurate monthly forecasts as well as gap closing initiatives and annual budgets.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, inventories and operations profitability reporting.
  • Prepare or direct preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, annual budgets, and other reports pertaining to assigned locations
  • Coordinate and lead a regular cadence of financial reviews including: Weekly Scorecard Updates, Monthly Plant Reviews, and Business Unit Monthly Operations Reviews (5 Key Measures).
  • Work closely with multifunctional teams in Operations and Marketing in driving and enhancing productivity in all locations
  • Lead Operations financial planning, budgeting, procurement, and investment activities
  • Drive optimization of Operating Working Capital
  • Assist with review and preparation of capital and restructuring appropriation requests
  • Provide timely and accurate reports to drive business decisions and give visibility to the main operations KPIs
  • Work in close collaboration with Business Unit Finance colleagues to drive and report results
  • Provide proactive leadership and guidance around controls and standards

Who You Are

  • BS Degree in Accounting/Finance required. MBA or CPA preferred
  • 8+ years of demonstrated progressive experience in an accounting or controlling function within a manufacturing environment
  • ERP knowledge (SAP preferred), Hyperion, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, financial consolidation systems (Hyperion) and internal control framework
  • Proven ability to perform with a high degree of accuracy under tight deadlines and to manage multiple projects
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills, ability to build strong networks in the organization and ability to influence others. Experience working with different cultures preferred
  • Solutions oriented can quickly assess a situation and offer alternatives with related risks and rewards
  • Travel (~15%) including domestic and international
