Position Summary

SSOE is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to work on exciting automotive, manufacturing and commercial projects in Lima, Ohio.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform HVAC load calculations, ductwork static pressure calculations, and pump head calculations.
  • Provide engineering and 3D Revit support for multiple projects that include HVAC, piping, plumbing and fire protection.
Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree / DIRECT / 3-5
OSHA 10/30-hour Construction Certificate preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • BSME from an ABET accredited college program.
  • Experience with, and the ability to size HVAC equipment, duct and ancillary equipment, hydronic and utility piping systems and plumbing systems.
  • Knowledge and experience using AutoCAD, REVIT and Microstation preferred, as well as Microsoft Software (Word, Excel and Powerpoint).
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience working on Automotive, Manufacturing, and Commercial projects is preferred.
  • Good communication skills.
