Tenneco is seeking a driven, self-motivated Engineering focused student who has an interest in gaining hands-on experience working at our fast paced Motorparts manufacturing facility located in Skokie, IL. This position will support the Motorparts division called DRiV within Tenneco.

The Tenneco student program provides a unique opportunity for students to learn, work, and contribute in an industry leading environment. As an intern working at Tenneco, you will be an active member on your team. Possible responsibilities include:

  • Compile purchased parts data from multiple databases and analyze the data to identify potential cost saving opportunities.
  • Work with a cross functional team and conduct financial feasibility of potential savings opportunities.
  • Manage launch of identified savings opportunities.

Required Skills

Requiredof anIntern:
Must be able to work independently and in a team based environment
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Effective time management skills
Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Required Experience

Minimum Qualifications:
Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
Student with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher
Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship period
Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license
Ability to provide own transportation to/from the job site
Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:
Student currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineeringfrom an accredited institution
Student with a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
