Tenneco is one of the world's largest pure-play powertrain companies serving OE markets worldwide with engineered solutions addressing fuel economy, power output, and criteria pollution requirements for gasoline, diesel and electrified powertrains.
The responsibility of this position is to interface with global business units and manufacturing plants to facilitate running the Ignition business and providing the necessary service to OEM customers. In this role the Product Application Engineer will act as the liaison between the Ignition global business units and the lead development center. This position will emphasize acting as a liaison between the ignition operations in China and the global ignition business. The business situation and individual skills may dictate the method of meeting these responsibilities, but the end result will always be superior customer service and the advancement of the business. The Product Application Engineer is responsible for the design and development of ignition products for our customers. This work may include program management, Customer Program Development (APQP), part design, validation testing, failure analysis, customer interfacing, and simultaneous engineering with the manufacturing plant.
Due to the emphasis of acting as a liaison with the China ignition operations, this position prefers the liaison to be fluent in Mandarin, along with the ability to travel to and within China.
