Description

Decypher is seeking Senior VTC Technician candidates to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) at West Bethesda, MD. This position provides senior level support that includes the setup of VTC calls, daily operations, training of personnel, and scheduling of associated resources. US Citizenship and active SECRET clearance required.

Required Certification

One of the following DoD IAT I 8570.01 baseline certifications:

  • CompTIA A+ CE
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate-Security (CCNA-Security)
  • EC-Council Certified Network Defender (CND)
  • CompTIA Network+ CE
  • (ISC) Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)

AND

Current beginner level Operating System (Microsoft) training.

Required Experience and Skills

Five years of experience in each of the following: VTC and audio visual (A/V) equipment operation from multiple manufactures, VTC and A/V industry standards, wide area network (WAN) technologies as applicable to VTC operations, developing and implementing communication tools for use between remote sites, Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel, Access, and Outlook); sand personal computer (PC) operations and technology. Shall possess three years (may be concurrent with five years' experience requirement) of experience of VoIP / IP VTC systems, software, hardware, and Telecommunications standards. Shall have understanding of call routing to include calling search spaces and partitions, route patterns, trunks and gateways. Shall possess experience of TCP/IP, H323, E164 and SIP protocols. Shall possess three years (may be concurrent with five years' of required experience) of experience troubleshooting common VoIP & VTC issues to include identifying and correcting issues with endpoints, trunks, dial plans, profiles which also includes troubleshooting common VTC issues to include the identification of failed endpoints, bandwidth saturation, or misconfigured conferences.

  • US Citizenship and active SECRET clearance required.
