Software Engineer 1, 2 or 3
OrbisOperations is seeking Software Engineers to support its government customer in Ft Meade, MD. The successful candidate will supportthe Operational and Maintenance (O&M) efforts including monitoring, upgrading, and maintaining the customer's applications and infrastructure across the customer's high performance computing environment. Must be detailed oriented, have strong organizational skills, and excellent troubleshooting skills.
Required Clearance: Active Security Clearance required at the Top Secret (TS)/Special Compartmented Information (SCI) level and appropriate level Polygraph

Task Required Skills:
- Experience using the Unix command line
- Experience developing scripts using Bash/Python
- Experience working with internal and external partners communicating technical concepts, hands-on training, and providing general customer support activities
- Experience with Helm Charts to package and deploy applications to a Kubernetes environment
- Experience developing with multiple programming languages such as Java, Python, and Go in a Unix environment
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
- Demonstrated domain knowledge in distributed systems (cloud-based technologies)
- Demonstrated understanding of the software development lifecycle
Task Desired Skills:
- Familiar with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
- Experience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
Position Requirements:
Level 1
Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus two (2) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
Four (4) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus two (2) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
Four (4) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Level 2
Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus 3 years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus 5 years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
7 years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Level 3
Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus 5 years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus 7 years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
9 years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
