Working as a Graphic/Communication Design Intern at Signify is dynamic. You'll be working with a multi disciplinary team of industrial and digital designers, part of a 60+ group of designers spread throughout 3 global studios, working on best-in-class awarded design and with a vibrant brand with a vision for sustainability. We're greater together through peer learning in our globally diverse team, with different backgrounds and nationalities.

We're looking for a spring intern who is a strong conceptual, creative and hands-on visual designer for a wide range of communication touch points in B2C and B2B. Through your designs, you will help the world to understand the opportunities and value of (digital) light. Your winning concepts and strong communication tools (B2B/B2C) will contribute to how we will lead the rapidly changing lighting market. You will help to shape our unique visual style and deploy our brand identities throughout the customer journey. You will inspire others with your designs and expertise.

As a Graphic/Communication Design Intern, you will work from January 11th to Jun 25th. These dates are not fixed and can be adjusted. This internship could also lead to a full time at-will position.

What you'll do

  • Develop strong creative concepts and support creation of unique visual style

  • Design digital, social and offline marcom activation, packaging, retail and events, etc.

  • Support other design team members to visualize and communicate their creative ideas

  • Collaborate with our global Brand & Communications and Marketing teams

  • Combine your creativity with technical competency, accuracy and an attention to detail

  • Manage your projects in a structured way

  • Bring inspiration and expertise to our Global Design community

What you'll need

  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future

  • Must attach your portfolio as part of the application process

  • Must possess or currently participating in a Bachelor degree program in Communication, Graphic/ Visual Design or similar major, Master degree preferred

  • Must have experience working with Adobe Creative Suite and MS PowerPoint

  • Creative experience in a large company with distributive teams

  • Experience in developing integrated concepts and tools for on-/offline communication in B2B/B2C

  • Experience in creating a visual language through storytelling with illustrations/infographics in digital format

  • Experience in social and digital activation

  • Strong affinity with the connected world (Internet of Things)
