Job/Internship Description

The Precision Solutions Product Validation Test Intern will gain experience in full life cycle of SW design process. This intern will also get hands-on experience in dynamic complex HW/SW testing environment along with exposure to development of white/black box test plans, test cases, methodology and automated test scripts. 

 

 

  • Develop and/or maintain detailed system and sub-system test procedures for functional, performance, and safety tests as related to Precision Farming, Product Control, and Guidance content based on system specifications.
  •  Execute validation plan and test procedures on the bench or in-field testing at CNH Industrial test facilities or external customer sites.
  • Create automated functional tests scripts and test procedures, to supplement manual smoke/shakedown tests and validation.
  • Document and clearly communicate test results, including issue reporting into proper tracking tools. Maintain and update issues as they are resolved.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and validation of resolution for problems identified during testing. Collect and analyze data to assist development team in root cause identification and problem resolution.
  •  Submit timely and concise reports covering system performance.
  • Aid design team in vehicle tuning exercises or targeted development tests for Auto Guidance and Precision Farming features of the PS&T software.

•Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or computer science; with a software focus or personal interest or related degree area

 

Preferred Qualifications


•Ability to demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills required.
•Ability to demonstrate good computer skills with Word, Excel, MSOffice suite.
•Ability to work independently with little supervision.

•Experience in software, electronic troubleshooting, or equivalent field. Complex mechanical assembly service or troubleshooting acceptable too.

•Agricultural, construction, automotive or similar background preferred.
•Basic industry communications protocol understanding (e.g. Serial, CAN, Cellular, Wifi, GPS, ISOBUS).
•Closed loop control system appreciation and understanding – electro-hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems.
•Mechanical aptitude and appreciation, to supplement SWand/or Electrical background
•Experience with design or development of web services, web based portals or (IoT) Internet of Things and associated languages (i.e. Java, etc).
•Experience with test automation or scripting application such as HP LoadRunner, Selenium and/or Python
