This position will primarily involve on-site driving and with possible need for, with training, over-the-road driving. Primary responsibilities includes the safe and efficient operation of yard truck and chassis/trailer combination and may include driving a roll-off truck to various locations in Montgomery County MD as well on-site operations throughout the Transfer Station campus. Drivers are required to complete pre-trip inspections and preventative maintenance activities on the equipment. Secondary responsibilities include operating a forklift, loading trailers, assisting local residents with the disposal and drop-off of their trash and recyclable materials, traffic control, checking ID's, resolving customer conflict, disassembling appliances for metal recycling, cleaning the work area and other areas of the Transfer Station campus, and assisting the Shift Supervisor as needed.
