Job Description

Critical Projects You Will Lead and/or Participate In:

Quality Engineering

  • Batch Record Review
  • Customer and Supplier C of A
  • Customer Questionnaires
  • Test Methods
  • Batch Record Document Retention

QA Lab

  • Train in many quality testing's within the lab
  • Learn the role a Lab Tech plays within production operations

What You'll Do:

  • Review and gain exposure to plant manufacturing processes including plastic blown film extrusion, printing, laminating, slitting, bag converting and pouch making
  • Participate as a multidisciplinary member in the core manufacturing team
  • Create flow charts based on the learning, and is willing to challenge the status quo to improve and / or design new processes
  • Assess and identify improvement opportunities in an analytical way
  • Assist with the standardization of key process and other Six Sigma documents
  • Work with other functional teams such as finance, marketing, sales, IT, and purchasing. May interface with external customers and suppliers as needed
  • Challenge the status quo to improve and / or design new processes
  • Analyze and size both quantitative and qualitative impact of proposed improvement
  • Create new mechanism and tools to digitize the manufacturing process and management
  • Facilitate the integration with existing Amcor technology platforms and any new designed analytical tools
  • Engage with both leadership team and front line operations team for projects implementation and management

What We Require:

  • Actively enrolled in Sophomore or Junior year in a Bachelor's Program in a technical field of study such as Engineering, Applied Sciences, or Mathematics
  • Previous internship experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and interest in continuous improvement
  • Must be detail oriented and possess excellent follow up skills
  • Working knowledge of computer application software (training will be provided if needed)
  • Must be organized and work well with priority changes
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in teams
  • Familiarity with the safe operation of basic hand tools and lab equipment preferred
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficiency in modern desktop office software applications, specifically Excel.
