The Software Architect at CNH Industrial America LLC in Burr Ridge, Illinois will be responsible for driving new product concepts and development in the area of vehicle architect and driver information systems. Provide development for the C/C++ framework for the embedded environment and support and work directly with Systems Engineers. Utilizing the understanding of off-road automotive systems, performance and reliability requirements, work with internal customers and strategic partners to enable novel new product development and translate customer needs into technical solutions. Assist in software modeling of vehicle architecture. Coordinate software development activities between different functional groups, including suppliers and partners. Assist in the development of next generation vehicle architecture. Coordinate software development and delivery for products and systems. Work with Platform/Product Engineering and Integration teams on clear deliverables. Analyze system and software requirements, designs, implementation and test plans, procedures, and case results to ensure requirements have been addressed and software standards are met. Assist in the development of technical references for the capabilities under analysis and test. Incorporate engineering safety standards, methodologies and global product development processes into all aspects of software projects.

Requires a Master's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field plus one year of experience providing automotive system product development for vehicle architecture. Will also accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field plus 5 years of experience providing automotive system product development for vehicle architecture.

The one year of experience must include one year of experience with each of the following: (1) developing C/C++ frameworks; (2) translating customer needs to technical solutions; (3) analyzing and testing system and software requirements; (4) off-road automotive systems, performance and reliability requirements; and (5) developing Agriculture vehicle and implementing product architectures.
