This System Administrator position supports a multitude of IT systems specifically related to access control, video management, PSIM, credentialing management and infrastructure maintenance management systems. This position will provide help desk support to receive and record calls and ensure that that issues reported are mitigated and tracked/logged. The position will also provide basic system administration of systems including but not limited to application servers, operating systems, virtualization, storage, and security. Additionally, the position requires an individual who is keen on learning new applications and skill sets while supporting senior administrators, engineers and managers. Other duties include end-user training, documentation and developing plans and other material for respective projects.
Responsibilities include:
* Triage customer support calls, providing Tier 1 help desk support and Tier 2 escalation
* Use a ticketing system to track issues and resolutions (IMMS)
* Use multiple applications for troubleshooting/resolving issues
* Use Remote Desktop to access server logs/customer workstations/kiosks for troubleshooting
* Send system outage notifications and updates via email and the ticketing system
* Train system users and other system support personnel
* Other responsibilities and minor tasks as needed
* Perform all duties with minimal direct supervision
Requirements:
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a background check and must meet the eligibility requirements of the customer's Badging Process.
  • Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years experience in a technical helpdesk customer service or technical support role OR a High School Diploma / GED coupled with 6 to 8 years experience in a technical helpdesk customer service or technical support role.
  • Some experience with a basic system administration and maintenance tools (VMWare, MS Server 2008/2012/2016, Remote Desktop)
  • General working knowledge of network protocols and systems: LAN, Firewalls, switches and routers
  • Experience supporting Aviation Security infrastructure, including IT infrastructure for Electronic Security Systems (ACS / IDS / CCTV / Biometrics) is strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage one's own time in order to complete multiple tasks under strict deadlines.
  • Knowledge of strategies for troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and other methods for identifying system issues using a wide variety of problem indicators
  • Learning and utilizing new applications
  • Understanding of Microsoft Windows
  • Understanding of Microsoft SQL
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of common network defense mechanisms including firewalls and anti-virus.
  • Basic understanding in technology relating to the optimization of servers and networks.
Additionally, this position requires:
  • Ablility to work any shift including 3rd Shift
  • Certified in CCure 9000
  • CompTIA A+ Certified
  • Certified in Verint 7.5 or later
  • At least 5 years of experience in the Aviation Security Industry
  • Experience providing security systems installation/maintenance within a Category X Airport.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task (Multiple daily activities across several different disciplines)
